The tank lite 20 inches is absolutely what I need as a global traveler carry on luggage case. If I have a to use the expansion, the airlines most probably will have this as check in lugguage for international airlines. If I use it for domestic travels within North America(USA & Canada) it can be carry on luggage as they allow a 22 inches case and no weight limit. For travelling overseas, a smaller case, but lighter will be much better as most airlines accept 20 inches cases and weight has to be less than 15kg or approx 17 lb. This 4mytu tank lite global case allows me to put my laptop on the front together with charger and cable, a few paper documents and papers, plus a light jacket or light change of clothes. If travelling within USA/Canada, this case will be sufficient for approx 3 days of change of clothing, once it is expanded by unzipping the expansion. One of the best features is this opens on the top, not the clam style and it saves space on the hotel lugguage rack and also easy to pack everything. No need to flip half of the clam style case to close, which I find it difficult and inconvient
